Synopsis:

A young man breaks up with his girlfriend, who has been cheating on him for years, in order to get together with a new woman who is not his type but is good for him. Opera can also work without murder and manslaughter. Libretto by TZ.

The concept of performance opera:


The performance opera could also be called opera-povera because the performance is reduced to a minimum: the opera is played from a CD. A painter paints a large canvas (5 x 2.5 m) for each act, creating the scenography with the music. As the music fades, three painted canvases remain at the end to represent the plot. These can be cut up and sold.

Instrumentation: piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, english horn, soprano sax, alto sax, E flat clarinet, 2 B flat clarinets, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, contrabassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, percussion, gongs, glockenspiel, xylophone, marimba, sitar, harp, strings

Soloists: solo tenor, solo soprano, choir and an artist who paints to the music.
